Nursing roles and education positions, including secondary school teachers, are also expected to see significant increases.

Specialist roles in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and energy systems – particularly in renewable energy and environmental engineering – are projected to grow in demand.

On the other hand, roles experiencing the fastest decline include cashiers and administrative assistants.

The rise of AI has also placed jobs like graphic designers on the list of declining roles.

The Future of Jobs Report 2025 predicts that 22% of jobs will be disrupted by 2030.

While 92 million jobs are expected to be displaced, 170 million new roles will emerge, resulting in a net growth of 78 million jobs.

According to the report, factors such as technological advancements, demographic shifts, geoeconomic tensions, and economic pressures are the primary drivers of these changes, reshaping industries and professions worldwide.
