Sunday Times journalist Liam Del Carme was on tour in Japan and wrote a book 'Winging It: On Tour With The Boks'. Del Carme joined Breakfast with Martin Bester to share more.
Liam Del Carme is a journalist who was on tour in Japan with the Springboks and wrote a book about this experience.
From the moment he touched down in Japan, he churned out articles for both digital and traditional media platforms, and managed to squeeze in the odd radio and television interview to keep South Africans abreast of the Boks’ progress.

Now Del Carme has written his first book, 'Winging It: On Tour With The Boks'. It touches some of the issues that made headlines, but more importantly the anecdotes that never made the newspapers.
Crafted in his signature flair-for-detail and humorous writing style, Del Carme takes rugby fans and Springbok supporters on the ride of a lifetime.
"My experience in Japan was absolutely amazing," he said.
"I have been touring with the Boks for 23 years. This book covers every bit - but there are no major scandals.
"This book will give readers a sense of any tour.
"Rassie Erasmus is a changed man - he is now very transparent. The Rassie we know now was not the Rassie back then."
