Liesl Laurie during Women’s Month: What I would tell my younger self
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
What would you tell your younger self about everything you’ve learned about the world and the wonderful lessons the people in it have taught you?
South Africa commemorates Women's Month in August as a tribute to the more than 20,000 women who marched to the Union Buildings on 9 August 1956 in protest against the extension of Pass Laws to women. The Government of South Africa declared August Women's Month and 9 August is celebrated annually as Women's Day.
As South Africa is in the middle of Women’s Month, what would some women tell their younger selves?
At any age, it is inevitable that you would reflect more deeply about your life and everything around you.
