Liesl Laurie’s grandmother gets her COVID-19 vaccine!

‘Ouma Laurie’ received her jab in Johannesburg on Thursday.
According to Jacaranda FM News, the total vaccination sites in Gauteng now stands at 129, both public and private.
The additional sites come as government prepares to step up the inoculation of the elderly amid the expected arrival of more vaccines.
Liesl Laurie said it took a little under an hour for the entire process to be completed at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital in Johannesburg.

Liesl Laurie said: “The nurses were friendly; the system was flawless. Once you’ve given all your details, the elderly moves to a queue. The nurses even push the elderly and frail to the front of the queue.”
With a mixture of happiness and relief, ‘Ouma Laurie’ received her Pfizer vaccine.
