To smoke or not to smoke. Staggering statistics reveal South Africans are still smoking during the lockdown.
South Africa's decision to extend a ban on cigarette sales inflamed a row as the country prepared to loosen stringent restrictions imposed to contain the spread of coronavirus.
The government outlawed the sale of alcohol and tobacco products when it imposed the lockdown, considered one of the strictest in Africa.
South Africa began a gradual and phased lifting of the lockdown restrictions but tobacco retailers and producers are up in arms.

Tobacco cannot be bought but South African ashtrays are full.
How?
A study revealed that 90% of smokers have continued buying tobacco products during lockdown despite the ban.
So government stopped cigarettes but they are smoking infact cigarettes is available by backdoors the 5c one now is R6 tomorrow will cost R8/R10 #welcome to #SouthAfrica
