Gauteng, another wild animal is on the loose in our streets!
The Brakpan SPCA has urged community members to be on the lookout for a male baboon roaming the streets of the Brakpan and Benoni areas.
According to Benoni City Times, the baboon was first spotted in Brakpan on May 24.

The Brakpan SPCA updated the public to inform them that no other confirmed sightings have been made in the Brakpan area but that the wild animal has moved on to Benoni.
"After the last sighting yesterday morning on Frere Ave, we suspected he may have gone over Station Rd and into the Mielie fields or over to RoyalOak Country Club," it said.
"By around 15h30, he was sighted crossing Snake Road over to Benoni side at Pioneer Drive. Then the last sighting we received was in Northmead around 5th avenue."
Benoni SPCA manager Jacques Cronje said that it is believed the baboon is migrating to another area.
"We are working hand-in-hand with our sister SPCAs and wildlife specialists, plotting his route to try and establish his final destination," said Cronje.
"If he does come onto your garden, just close doors and windows and let him be. He is covering about 10km a day on his journey, so he will move on after a short while."

The public is urged not to approach the baboon and not to capture it.
Both Brakpan and Benoni SPCAs asked the public to phone or WhatsApp the organisations if they see the baboon, preferably with a pin drop location and time it was seen.
