LOOK: Joe Exotic marries fellow prison inmate

Joseph Allen Maldonado, professionally known as Joe Exotic and nicknamed "The Tiger King", made headlines worldwide following the release of the Netflix hit series 'Tiger King'.

The documentary follows Exotic, a zoo owner who spirals out of control, alongside a cast of other eccentric characters, in a true crime, murder-for-hire story.

Despite the show's entertainment value, it also uncovered many deep and dark secrets, including illegal activities.

In 2019, prior to the 2020 release of 'Tiger King', Exotic was sentenced to 21 years in prison on 21 counts – 19 counts of wildlife crimes and two counts of hiring hitmen to kill animal activist and fellow big cat enthusiast Carole Baskin.

While in prison, the larger-than-life character got engaged to 33-year-old fellow Texas inmate Jorge Marquez Flores.

In October 2024, he revealed that he had submitted a marriage application to the federal prison to marry his fellow inmate.

Now, the 62-year-old reality TV star-turned-prison inmate has officially tied the knot with his 33-year-old partner, Jorge Flores Maldonado.

In a post on X, Exotic shared a photo of the pair with the caption: "Never been more proud of someone. Meet my husband Jorge Flores Maldonado."

According to Metro, this marks the sixth time Exotic has been married.

Other posts on the Tiger King's X profile include him asking former US President Donald Trump for a pardon from prison.
