LOOK: SA golf estate welcomes first black springbok

Our news feeds are usually filled with crime, water restrictions, or political news, which can leave us feeling negative.
But over the weekend, South Africans were treated to news that is sure to make everyone smile.

The Kingswood Golf Estate in George, Western Cape, revealed that its first-ever black springbok was born on the estate.
Kingswood shared a series of pictures of the "one in a million" sight on its Facebook page.

According to The South African, the Garden Route course is no stranger to springboks, and guests are often treated to South Africa's national animal roaming the grounds.
But now guests will be able to spot the rare black springbok for the first time ever.

The rare sight had social media buzzing, with many heading to the comments section to share their joy over the little springbok.
Many opted to name the cute animal, with the name 'Siya' being the most popular suggestion.
The exact amount of black springboks is not known, but due to it being an extremely rare genetic variation, their numbers are significantly lower than the common springbok.
