LOOK: Student arrives at matric farewell in coffin

With matric farewell season well on the way, students are pulling out all the stops to arrive in style!
For many students, their matric farewell is their one chance to truly express themselves and pull out all the stops.
One aspect of South African matric farewells that are always a talking point is extravagant arrivals. Students come dressed in their best and most creative formal clothes, but it is their arrivals that often make jaws drop.

This was no different for one student in particular who decided to arrive at her matric farewell in a coffin.

Surprisingly, it is not that uncommon for students to arrive in coffins at their matric farewells.
Of course, the peculiar arrival left South Africans divided on whether it was a fantastic idea or just downright wrong.
One supportive Twitter user commented: “Nothing wrong with this dramatic and memorable entrance. It's a one of a kind and got the intended attention. The only reason why peeps reacted negatively is because they are in denial of the reality of dead. The saga of life begins in the womb and ends in the tomb. FACT...”
