Madonna was performing at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
"What are you doing sitting down over there?" she yelled from onstage, pointing into a cheering crowd. "What are you doing sitting down?"
Upon walking to the edge of the stage and taking a closer look, the singer added, "Oh, OK. Politically incorrect, sorry about that. I’m glad you’re here."

Of course, the video sparked a lot of backlash from social media users.
"Lots of people need to sit down who don't use wheelchairs, too. This is honestly just gross, ableist behaviour," one user wrote on X. "Appreciate that the person purchased a ticket and came to see you!"
"Does it matter if they’re sitting or standing? they paid for the ticket and took the time to be there? Isn’t that enough???" a user wrote, concluding with a shrugging emoji.
Luckily for Madonna, the fan, Vanessa Gorman, was not offended by the Queen of Pop's remarks and isn’t holding anything against her.
"Some people are in wheelchairs and can stand — she had no idea I was paralysed," Gorman told TMZ in an interview.
She was shocked that the singer didn’t see her bright pink wheelchair but applauded Madonna for apologising immediately after the faux pas.
