On Wednesday, 9 October, the Breakfast with Martin Bester team made their way to the Mother City for a short trip to show Capetonians some love.
On their trip, Martin Bester and Philicity Reeken were joined by Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis live on air.
Hill-Lewis spoke to Martin Bester about the success Cape Town has managed to reach and the plans to even further the city's success.

The pair also shared some good old banter about the debate between the Western Cape and Gauteng and the Bulls and the Stormers.
The Cape Town Mayor gifted Martin Bester with a special blue box, which he revealed to be a Stormers jersey, knowing very well that Martin is a Bulls supporter.

The confusion surrounding Geordin's name was also a topic of discussion, and the mayor finally set the record straight.
"I am so used to people pronouncing my name incorrectly," he said.

Some people have even opted to simply call him 'Bruce'.
However, the mayor revealed that his name is pronounced 'Jordan', "like the river and the shoes".
