Michael Jackson's nephew set to play the 'King of Pop' in new biopic

Michael Jackson's nephew, Jaafar Jackson, is set to play the 'King Of Pop' in an upcoming biopic.

Michael Jackson is said to be brought back to life in a new biopic exploring his life and career. 

Keeping it in the family, Jackson's nephew, Jafaar Jackson, will take up the daunting task of playing the 'King of Pop'.

In an Instagram post, Jaafar confirmed that he will be taking on the role. 

"I’m humbled and honored to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life. To all the fans all over the world, I’ll see you soon," he wrote. 

The 26-year-old is the son of Michael's brother, Jermaine Jackson, who was a part of The Jackson 5. 

According to Deadline, the biopic will not shy away from any of the controversies surrounding Jackson's life.

It will explore the paedophilia accusations that haunted him and his death in 2009 at age 50 from cardiac arrest caused by a cocktail of sedatives.

The Lionsgate film biopic will be directed by Antoine Fuqua and produced by Graham King - who also turned the Freddie Mercury Queen story into the blockbuster 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
