Kearsney College tops the list as the most expensive school in South Africa. Kearsney College is a private boarding, English medium high school for boys in Botha's Hill, a small town between the provincial capital of Pietermaritzburg and Durban, in the KwaZulu-Natal province.

A year of undergraduate tertiary tuition in law, or engineering at an institution such as the University of Stellenbosch (Maties) or University of the Witwatersrand, will cost up to R60,000.
