Motorists stop cyclist from being robbed at busy intersection

Although cyclists try to avoid bike-jacking hotspots, it is evident that criminals will try their luck even when motorists are nearby. 

The attempted robbery of a cyclist was caught on CCTV. One can see that one of three men stops the cyclist, while two watch on. A motorist then stops in the road as well as a second vehicle trying to hinder the unfortunate plans that would’ve followed.

Fortunately, the cyclist’s ordeal was short-lived when the men ran off empty handed. 

A Twitter user, who commented on a post about the incident, wrote: "That's what people are supposed to do when someone is in distress. Help the person instead of taking a video with your expensive phone. Someone else would have stopped and took a video, which wouldn't have helped the victim in any way."
