New sports drink in SA costs more than R500 a bottle

This trendy sports drink has been putting pressure on parents as kids all over South Africa are desperate to get their hands on it.
Prime, the new trendy sports drink, has set South African social media alight after the drink went on sale in the country at a ridiculous price.
According to numerous posts on social media, Prime will cost South Africans more than R500 for a single 500ml bottle.

Despite the outrageous price, the trendy drink has sold out in stores across the world.
With so many kids wanting a taste of PRIME, stocks are constantly in low supply. Whether the company deliberately does this has been debated but is unproven.

In January 2022, YouTube stars Logan Paul and KSI launched the drinks company Prime Hydration, prompting the drink’s popularity.

Due to its association with Paul, the drink has become very popular with teens across the world.
Needless to say, most South African parents are not having it.
