Canned wine? Yes, canned wine is the latest trend, not only among the younger market. 

Now that canned wine is becoming a trend, top South African winemakers are making a move to join in.

According to Business Insider, the canning technology has improved, and wine estates in South Africa are seeing the benefits of aluminium over glass.

Respected winemakers are starting to can some of their white wines and rosés.

Breakfast with Martin Bester weighed in on the topic - and this is what they had to say: 

"I'm no wine snob - but I really don't want to go there. In varsity we drank boxed wine - and no matter how poor I'll be one day, I will never drink from a can," Martin Bester said.

"I don't even drink beer from a can - I could never drink wine from a can," Elma Smit added.

Finish the sentence, "No matter how broke I get, I will never..."
