Olympian Simone Biles spends honeymoon in SA

Olympian Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens are finally on their honeymoon, and they’re right here in South Africa.

For the past few years, Olympian Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens have not celebrated their honeymoon due to their unwavering commitment to their careers. 

Now, the power couple is finally on their long-awaited honeymoon, and they're right here in South Africa.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2023, is enjoying a true South African safari adventure to celebrate their marriage.

Biles, 27, shared updates with her fans on Instagram as they arrived in South Africa. In one post, she shared a sweet kiss with 29-year-old NFL player Owens while on a plane.

"Ready for our first game drive," she captioned another selfie taken with Owens as they donned safari gear for their exciting game drive.

Biles and Owens have been playfully hinting at their honeymoon for a while, with the gymnast sharing on Instagram: "Off to our honeymoon. Two years later", alongside a photo of the couple surrounded by large travel luggage.

As the couple ventured through the South African wilderness, they embraced the unique experiences that came with it. 

Biles even got to tick off seeing the entire Big Five during their first two games drives.

One of the most memorable moments from their honeymoon occurred during a game drive when Biles had a close encounter with a lion.

"Not gonna lie, I almost s**t myself," Biles joked in a post on Instagram Stories.

The couple has been enjoying the beautiful African wildlife and warm South African hospitality. 

Biles shared a photo in front of an elephant, feeding it, with the caption: "Consider this my postcard from South Africa."

The post received an outpouring of love from her 12.5 million Instagram followers, with many South African fans welcoming her to the country.

"Welcome to South Africa," one user commented, while another said, "I hope you're enjoying your stay here in South Africa."
