Petrol attendants stop fuel thieves from driving off without paying

Petrol attendants at a local petrol station allegedly stopped motorists from driving off without paying for their petrol.
In recent years, criminals have developed numerous different tactics that have negatively affected the businesses and livelihoods of all South Africans.
With the continuous rise of fuel prices, one of these tactics is to drive off without paying after filling up your car.

Although the steep fuel price affects everyone in South Africa, it's still not a good enough reason not to pay for your fuel.
CCTV footage, allegedly from a local petrol station, which was shared on social media platform X, shows how a motorist attempted to drive off without paying for their fuel.

"BP on John Ross Highway opposite Melomed Hospital, Motorist tried to drive off without paying. Attendants stopped them," wrote @Ndumiiiso, the X user who shared the video.
What happened beforehand is unclear, but the video starts with a white vehicle attempting to leave a petrol pump when two petrol attendants grab the car, trying to stop it from moving.

One petrol attendant seems to open the driver's door, prompting the alleged criminal to jump out.
After a few punches are swung between the driver and the petrol attendant, the two men can be seen running off into the distance, leaving the vehicle at the petrol station.
