PICTURES: The ANC celebrate with unappealing birthday cakes

It was a week of celebration for the ANC in Kimberley when they celebrated their 108th birthday.
The cakes the African National Congress (ANC) used to celebrate the anniversary of the formation of the party were an eyesore.

Cakes are a big part of any celebration - and only prominent figures have the opportunity to cut the cake.
At the celebration, President Cyril Ramaphosa promised that the party was finding its way back to moral fortitude.
“We are correcting our own ways so that we serve our people with diligence and commitment. We want to get rid of the tendencies of the past, like corruption,” Ramaphosa said.
At the Mayibuye Multi-purpose Centre in Galeshewe for the cake cutting ceremony to mark 108 years of the ANC. Martin Bester said the talks around the cakes in previous years dominated the conversation.
