PICTURES: The coldest day of the year

Sub-polar weather conditions are expected to hit most parts of the country.
According to Jacaranda FM News, The South African Weather Service has warned of freezing temperatures in large parts of South Africa from Tuesday.
"Pretoria is expecting a maximum of 15 degrees Celsius, Johannesburg is expecting a maximum of 13 degrees and Vereeniging 13 degrees as well."

Temperatures are expected to drop even further the following day.
But… best to keep warm in Nieu-Bethesda in the Eastern Cape. Martin Bester’s dad stays at the foot of the Sneeuberge, approximately 50 kilometres from Graaff Reinet.
