PICTURES: Skukuza visitors evacuated after major hail storm
Tourists were evacuated this weekend after a freak storm raged through the Kruger Park.
SanParks spokesperson William Mabasa said some tourists had to be evacuated after their tents were damaged by a hail storm that wreaked havoc in the Skukuza area on Sunday afternoon.
Staff accommodation and several vehicles were also damaged.

Infinite Africa Safaris (Pty) Ltd posted an image on Facebook: “Devastating hailstorm in Skukuza. Many cars and caravans damaged and windows smashed: one of the worst hail-storms to hit. Lots of rain reported from Lower Sabie as well‚ and this in the heart of the dry season.”
