Pieter van der Westhuizen talks to Martin Bester after charges dropped
Pieter van Westhuizen speaks out after being cleared of any wrongdoing in deadly Centurion church shooting.
Jacaranda FM News reported that the charges against Pieter van der Westhuizen have officially been dropped.
A police investigation found that van der Westhuizen, brother of the rugby legend Joost, acted in self-defence when he fired lethal shots at two robbers who stormed into a church service in Wierdapark, Centurion last year.

The two armed men had attempted to rob church goers at the Querencia Ministries during a service in July when they were shot.
His lawyer, Ulrich Roux, has welcomed the outcome of the investigation.
Pieter van der Westhuizen and his attorney joined Martin Bester on air to discuss the outcome of the case.

Pieter told Martin Bester: "At that moment I thought it was a joke and the next moment my police background kicked in and I had to react immediately."
Roux says: "I'm very happy justice prevailed and that he can move on with his life."
