Prof Helen Rees talks about the latest COVID-19 developments
Professor Helen Rees spoke to Breakfast with Martin Bester about the latest developments regarding COVID-19.
Jacaranda FM News recently reported that South Africa has more than 10,000 infections.

This is the highest positivity rate in recent months and comes as the winter season sets in.
World Health Organisation chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Wednesday said that two Omicron sub-variants, BA.4 and BA.5, were behind the surge in cases in South Africa.
But he said it was "too soon to know whether these new sub-variants can cause more severe disease than other Omicron sub-variants."
Breakfast with Martin Bester spoke to international vaccine expert, Prof Helen Rees, about the new developments in the country.

"The minister must decide if we are in a fifth wave or not. But I think we are in the fifth wave.
"We are seeing two Omicron sub-variants, BA.4 and BA.5 in South Africa.
"The variants are not different. The symptoms are the same. It's flu-like symptoms."
Prof Rees encouraged listeners to get tested and get the booster shot for extra protection.
