Radio legend Jeremy Mansfield passes away

It has been confirmed that broadcasting legend Jeremy Mansfield passed away at the age of 59.
Tributes on social media have been pouring in surrounding the death of radio legend Jeremy Mansfield.
The beloved TV and radio personality passed away after his battle with stage four liver cancer at the age of 59.

South African media personalities and celebrities headed to social media to share the sad news, including Mansfield's friend and former colleague, Samantha Cowen, who shared the news on Monday morning.
He was the undisputed king of Jozi airwaves, making the weekday drive to work something to look forward to. Bold & brash with a heart of gold, he was our fearless team leader. South African actress Lizz Meiring also confirmed the news on Twitter: "The darling of radio later tv Jeremy Mansfield died this morning. Liver cancer. He was single at time of death. I worked with him for years on 'A word or 2' and remained friends for a long time. So dynamic, talented, powerful, kind hearted. Huge sense of humour."
In January, Mansfield announced that he was diagnosed with liver cancer and later in August it was announced that the diagnosis was terminal.

According to News24, Mansfield is survived by his wife, Jacqui, and his daughter, Gabriella. His mother died on 15 August, which was also his 59th birthday.
