From President Ramaphosa to 'DJ Phala Phala': Pres shows off DJ skills
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
President, policitian, businessman, activist and now a DJ. President Cyril Ramaphosa has just added another title to his already extensive resume…
Sure, South Africans have a lot to complain about, from loadshedding, to high crime rates to often laughable politics.
One thing we have on our side, however, is a great sense of humour, kindness and overall lekker people.
Even South Africa's president has proven time and time again that South Africans truly have fun like no other nation.

In a recent video shared online, President Ramaphosa can be seen trying his hand at being a DJ.
The clip, which was shared all over social media, shows the president twisting and turning knobs on a DJ mixer, looking like the real deal.
Athi Geleba, Head of Digital Communications in the Presidency, also shared the video clip.
"The DJ Ramzin residency launches in CPT this weekend. DM for bookings."

Despite his great attempt at DJing, it was once again South Africans' humour that stole the show.
DJ Phosa, DJ Rama-pops, DJ Ramza, DJ Cupcake and DJ Phala Phala are just a few of the very creative names some South Africans have given the new DJ.
Many also took to the comment section to share their thoughts and feelings about the clip.
"Where is loadshedding when you need it," commented one user.
"Dj Fellow South Africans," said another.
"Haaibo cupcake," said one user, referring to the president's official unofficial nickname.
"Thumping his corruption playlist."
"SA is not a real place."

According to The Citizen, the video was taken when Pres Ramaphosa stopped over at Rands Lifestyle in Khayelitsha during his campaign trail.
The president was mixing a song called 'Vote ANC' with ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula.
Many have recognised this as an attempt to steal the hearts of young voters as South Africa is set to head to the voting polls on 29 May 2024 in what is considered the country's most contested elections in years.
