Roodepoort security boss risks life to bring stolen pit bull home

Looking for a missing pet can be devastating.
Zané Esterhuyzen and André Louw began flooding social media on 14 February with posts about their missing pit bull.
Zander Schlemmer was preparing for his Monday morning meetings, unaware of the impact this would make on this day.
Zander is the owner of Weltevreden Park-based Cordiguard Security Services, specialising in guarding, evictions, riots, and crowd control for events.

The social media posts about Rango’s disappearance caught Zander’s eye, and before he knew it, he was deep in an informal settlement on a rescue mission to find Rango the pit bull.
Breakfast with Martin Bester spoke to Zander about what happened right before he found the dog.
