SA comedian Sami Hall Says: Centurion is in Pretoria

When comedian Sami Hall joined Breakfast with Martin Bester, the debate about whether Centurion is truly part of Pretoria got heated as listeners shared their passionate opinions about the topic.

Here is what they had to say:

Martin cheekily remarked, "You don't say to a Pretoria person who lives in Brooklyn that you're from Pretoria when you live in Centurion."

But for people outside Gauteng, Centurion is often grouped with Pretoria, sparking fiery discussions.

The same goes for Midrand, which some claim as being part of Johannesburg, and Stellenbosch, often associated with Cape Town.

Sami chimed in on the hilarity of it all, claiming that for her, Centurion is, in fact, in Pretoria.

And what about Cape Town and Stellenbosch?

Sami shared how her first trip had her convinced Stellenbosch was in Cape Town until locals corrected her.

She's still not convinced that Stellenbosch isn't in Cape Town and Midrand isn't in Johannesburg.

The discussion wasn't just about maps, though.

Sami is bringing her stand-up comedy to Centurion soon, where she takes a comedic swipe at everyday questions that she feels are stupid, like the ever-present questions, "Why are you still single?" or asking someone “How are you?” when you don't really want to know.

Catch her comedy show, "Why I'm Still Single and Other Stupid Questions," at the Centurion Theatre on Friday, November 22.
