SA's top tourists are no longer from the United Kingdom

South Africa welcomed more tourists from the United States in 2021 than from anywhere else overseas, according to reports.

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic - international travel was banned for a period and people were unable to travel to their favourite countries.

Business Insider reported that South Africa welcomed more tourists from the United States in 2021.
Before the pandemic, South Africa welcomed more visitors from the United Kingdom.

According to Business Insider, almost 72,000 Americans arrived in South Africa by December 2021 after the international travel ban was lifted.
