Scallywag makes debut on the Friday Live stage

South African singer Scallywag performed on Friday Live for the first time…
Martin Bester has been hard at work collecting blankets for people and animals in need this winter.
Many local artists have joined Martin as he travels to perform at various locations across the South for the 2024 Warm Fees.
One such artist is South African singer Charlene van Rooyen AKA Scallywag, who will be joining Martin on his Warm Fees stop at Laerskool Trichardt on 6 July.

The Pretoria local has been singing and performing on stages across South Africa and on Friday she shared her incredible story with Martin Bester.

It's impressive to hear about her journey from singing in primary school to becoming an award-winning artist who has performed alongside well-known musicians such as Juan Boucher, Ray Dylan, Lance James, Jennifer Zamudio, Snotkop, Dirk Van Der Westhuizen, Martin Bester, Jamie Fine, and many more.
Scallywag is making a mark in the music industry, both in South Africa and internationally in 39 countries. Her plans to go international in 2025 are well underway.
She has also won two Female Artist of the Year awards, two Single of the Year awards, and Album of the Year at SacMaf.

The performer also made her debut on the Friday Live stage on Breakfast with Martin Bester.
Scallywag performed her single, 'I Know You Are Scared', live on air.
