"It's the 'Click Song'... where are the clicks?"
If you attend any wedding in South Africa, you are almost guaranteed to hear the late Miriam Makeba's iconic 'Qongqothwane', also known as the 'Click Song'.
Makeba, affectionately known as Mama Africa, released the traditional Xhosa song in 1964. It is most famously played at weddings to bring good fortune.
The original title, 'Qongqothwane', directly translates to "knock-knock beetle" and is famous for including the click from the Xhosa language.

Being the 'Click Song', what would the song be without incorporating the Xhosa click throughout as in the original rendition?
South Africans recently discovered American singer and actress Cher's rendition of the iconic song, and they were not happy.
Cher released her version of the song in 1968 as the lead single off her album, 'Backstage', but South Africans only recently rediscovered the song.
Upon hearing the song, they were shocked that there was not a single click in 'Click Song'.
