Sinéad O'Connor dies at age 56

Irish singer Sinéad O'Connor has passed away at the age of 56.
Best known for her 1990s hit, 'Nothing Compares 2 You', Sinéad O'Connor was recognised worldwide as a global star who was outspoken about her dedication to various social issues.
On Wednesday, it was confirmed by her family that the Irish singer had passed away at the age of 56.

A family statement read: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinead.
"Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time."
No cause of death was given.

According to reports, the singer had been struggling with her mental health for years and in 2021, she announced her retirement from music.
