Kelis claims Beyoncé used her song on 'Renaissance' album

Singer Kelis has called out Beyoncé for sampling her song 'Milkshake' on the new 'Renaissance' album!
Singer Kelis was left feeling disrespected after her song 'Milkshake' was used as a sample of Beyoncé's new song 'Energy'.
Kelis is one of many artists whose songs were used as samples on the new 'Renaissance' album.

The 'Bossy' singer was triggered by the use of her song and expressed her anger on Instagram. The musician addressed the fact that she was not contacted about the use of the song.
Kelis revealed that she heard about the sample "the same way everyone else did".

Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes are also the sole credited writers and producers on Kelis' 'Milkshake'. Williams and Hugo are now credited as co-writers on 'Energy'.
"The level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all three parties is astounding," Kelis said.
