Snow in the Cape in August? These pictures don’t lie...
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
Pictures tell a thousand words and this time they told the story of a magical winter wonderland in the Cape.
Western Cape residents have flooded social media timelines with images and videos of the snowfall which hit the province at the weekend.
Mountain peaks, roads, and trees in parts of the Western Cape were covered with a light dusting of snow on Sunday.
It was expected, as the SA Weather Service forecast heavy rain and snow, but it is unusual for August.
Please be advised of the following warnings and watch valid for tomorrow (26 August 2018). Please be careful and take care. @ReenvalSA @GrainSA pic.twitter.com/x38XBAgJrf

A cold front swept over the province bringing the snowfall, hail, and heavy rain.
