Social media shocked after Mr South Africa 2019 finalists announcement
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
Mr South Africa is currently trending in South Africa for all the wrong reasons.
On Wednesday, the Mr South Africa organisation released their Top 20 finalists in a Twitter post.
However, they did not expect the response they got from the public, as many South Africans are confused about the requirements needed for such a competition.

Mr South Africa mentioned on their social media pages that the pageant is not only about beauty, but more about having a good heart and the hard work done for communities.
Former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie weighed in on the announcement. "As a Miss SA we must put in a lot of effort and must work extremely hard to reach the requirements."
She also said that they (Mr South Africa) must do the same.
The Mr South Africa Twitter admin has since deleted their tweet.
Twitter was vocal about the competition and some said that they are not satisfied with the finalists.
They need to burn Mr South Africa to the ground and never look back.
