One Olympic sport has been removed from the 2028 Olympics with a replacement already named.
The 2024 Summer Olympics concluded on Sunday, August 11, after almost two weeks of the world's biggest sporting event.
With the conclusion of the Olympic Games, fans are already looking forward to the next event, and they are in luck.
The 34th Olympiad has already been confirmed to take place in Los Angeles, USA, 44 years after the city hosted the 1984 Games.

According to SportBible, the schedule will include all the "traditional" Olympic events, including gymnastics, swimming, and track and field.
One sport, however, which only made its first debut at the 33rd Paris Olympics, won’t be part of the next Games.
Breakdancing has been removed from the schedule for 2028, which, according to SportBible, was a decision made before this year’s Summer Olympics began.
Cricket will replace the event after a 128-year absence of the sport.

Cricket, baseball, softball, and lacrosse will all return for the LA Games after periods of absence, while flag football and squash will feature for the first time.
Optional events like skateboarding and speed climbing, which only debuted at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, will become permanent events.
