Springbok Impi dancers slip and fall at wet Newlands
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
South Africa lost 25-10 against England in blustery weather at
Newlands Stadium on Saturday.
The weather was miserable, but social media was in stitches after the bare-footed Zulu Impi dancers slipped and slid across the field as they tried to manoeuvre themselves on a wet pitch.
Jacaranda FM sport presenter, Elma Smit attended the match in Cape Town and put into perspective just how wet the pitch had been. “I walked on the field two hours prior to the game and my soles were soaked.”

It won’t only be the Springboks' loss people will remember, but the Impi’s, who couldn’t keep their footing, much like the Springboks.
