Artist, voice teacher, coach, and opera singer, Sibongile Mngoma, spoke to Breakfast with Martin Bester about the sit-in in Newtown.

The artist is seeking answers from the government.

Artists and creatives have been staging a sit-in at the NAC offices in Johannesburg demanding answers.

Sibongile told Martin Bester: “It is time that somebody says it is enough. The system keeps the artists poor. It is one thing if the money ends up in fewer hands but it is another thing if the money ends up in the hands of the people who are supposed to administer the money. It is corruption and fraud all in one.”
