Pieter Coetzé's mother and family are super proud of his debut at the Tokyo Olympics!
Tuks swimmer, Pieter Coetzé, set himself the goal of trying to achieve what few South African male swimmers, if any, have been able to do - qualify for the Tokyo Olympic Games the age of 16.
Guess what? Pieter qualified and he is at the Olympics!

He joined Martin Bester ahead of the Olympics and said: “I trained as I usually would, hard and long hours. If I had taken things slightly easier, rested a bit and shaved adequately, I could have swum faster. To swim two seconds faster is not impossible."
After his debut at the Olympics, Martin Bester spoke to his mother, Annelize, about how proud she is of her son!
