As South Africans, we are faced with daily tribulations, often leaving us feeling angry and frustrated in our home country.

Due to the adversity we face, it is easy to feel that we live in one of the worst countries in the world, but things could be much worse.
Now, we're not saying things aren't bad in our country and that people are not allowed to feel frustrated about our country, but a recent report revealed the unhappiest countries in the world and we're happy to say South Africa didn't make the list.
Not that this is the standard we should strive for, but at this point, we'll take any win we can.

Insider Monkey compiled a list of the unhappiest countries in the world based on various issues, including national poverty, food insecurity, climate change, and environmental challenges.
