This is 141 more than last year and 26 more than the record set in 2021. Together, they are worth $14.2-trillion.

While familiar faces like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerburg still held top spots on the list, a few noticeable names were also added.

For starters, Bernard Arnault, who oversees the LVMH empire of 75 fashion and cosmetics brands, including Louis Vuitton and Sephora, made the top spot on the list with a net worth of $233-billion.

Some of our favourite celebrities also managed to secure themselves a spot on the world's billionaires list.

Pop sensation Taylor Swift was officially named a member of the three-comma-club Tuesday, as Forbes confirmed rumours estimating her wealth exceeds a billion dollars.

The financial news outlet said she is the first artist to achieve billionaire status solely based on her music and estimated she has a $1.1-billion fortune.

And in mere weeks fans have a brand-new album to look forward to: Swift is set to drop "The Tortured Poets Department" on April 19.
