Some private schools in South Africa are extremely expensive. According to Business Tech, R200,000 is the ‘benchmark’ for education and accommodation.

Kearsney College tops the list as the most expensive school in South Africa. Kearsney College is a private boarding, English medium high school for boys in Botha's Hill, a small town between the provincial capital of Pietermaritzburg and Durban, in the KwaZulu-Natal province.
The fees at Kearsney increased by R8,580 for 2021!
