Near the town of Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape lies the spectacular underground wonder and true South African heritage site, the Cango Caves.

The Cango Caves are Africa's largest show caves and one of the Seven Wonders of Southern Africa.

The caves have also become the best-known and most popular tourist caves and attract many visitors from overseas. Did we mention it also has amazing acoustics?

A tour guide at the historical site treated travellers to an amazing performance that proved just how superb the cave's acoustics are.

A video shared on TikTok shows the tour guide showing off her talents as she serenaded her tour group mid-tour.

Travel blogger Sharon Waugh titled the video, "POV: Your tour guide at the Cango Caves offers to test the acoustics for you."

Waugh's video shows the tour guide, Leanne Coetzee, performing a mesmerising cover of 'Ave Maria'.

@thesharonicles Orchestra performances used to take place in this cavern and it's not hard to see (or rather hear) why. It's hard to tell from this video, but I was awestruck by the sheer volume of this "hall" which could easily accommodate an orchestra and an audience. It turns out there is one here that's three times the size (but not accessible to the public). Thanks so much, Leanne, for singing for us. #cangocaves #acoustics #avemaria #chills #bucketlist #oudtshoorn #travelsouthafrica ♬ original sound - Sharon Waugh
