Two memorial services held for veteran actor Ben Kruger

Veteran actor, writer and producer Ben Kruger has died from COVID-19 complications.

The 64-year-old was known for his role as Okkie Ferreira in the popular Afrikaans soapie of Binnelanders on KykNET.
"He was very accessible as a veteran actor, always friendly, with a very firm hand at every event and festival and events. He will be missed and good luck to his family, friends, and the whole team at Binnelanders.”
The dates of the memorial services will be announced. The first service will be attended by family and friends in Cape Town and the second service a private online service (invite only).

The seasoned actor also starred in ‘Zero Tolerance’,’ 7de Laan’, ‘Jacob's Cross’, ‘Silent Witness’, ‘Soul Buddyz’, ‘Riemvasmaak’, and ‘Triptiek’.
