The intimacy ban has been lifted for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games...
During the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, the organisation was forced to implement an intimacy ban due to COVID-19.
The games also introduced cardboard boxes back in 2020, which the organisers dubbed as "anti-sex beds".
Although the beds are returning, it is important to clarify that these beds were not specifically designed to discourage sexual activity.

The beds were allegedly created to reduce environmental impact as it is made from recyclable materials, including cardboard frames and mattresses.
Things are also looking a little different in 2024 as organisers are planning to lift the intimacy ban during this year's games.
Organisers are, however, urging Olympians to practise safe sex by providing approximately 300,000 condoms in the Olympic Village, which will host 9,000 athletes in July.
According to The Citizen, this is nearly two condoms per athlete for each day of the event.
"We are aiming to have 300,000 condoms here at our disposal for the 14,250 residents – athletes, personnel, and officials in the village. It’s a quantity that makes sure that everybody will have what they’re expecting and what they need," Laurent Michaud, director of the Olympic and Paralympic Village, told Sky News.

"We wanted to create some places where the athletes would feel very enthusiastic and comfortable, so they can have some conversations, discussions, and to share their core values about sport.
"We have made a village club also, with a lounge, with a sports bar with Coca-Cola, no alcohol of course over there, but it’s going to be a great place, so they can actually share their moments and the environment here.
"No champagne in the village, of course, but they can have all the champagne they want in Paris."
Despite the 2020 intimacy ban, 150,000 condoms were still handed out to athletes.
