January 20, 2025, marked the start of Donald Trump's second term as the 45th President of the United States.

The inauguration, held in Washington, DC, was a blend of tradition, controversy, and Trump's signature theatrics.

Thousands of Trump supporters flocked to the US Capitol to witness him take the oath of office.

Using a Bible, which was gifted by his mother, Trump was sworn in as the oldest president in US history at 78.

In his inaugural address, Trump said, "The golden age of America begins right now."

"For many years, a radical and corrupt establishment has extracted power and wealth from our citizens, while the pillars of our society lay broken and seemingly in complete disrepair," he said.

"From this moment on, America's decline is over."

Trump wasted no time outlining his plans for his second term.

Among his immediate actions, he announced his intention to declare a national emergency at the US-Mexico border, pledging to deport "millions and millions" of undocumented immigrants.

Outgoing President Joe Biden followed tradition by welcoming Trump to the White House for tea before the ceremony.

"Welcome home," Biden reportedly said as he and First Lady Jill Biden greeted the Trumps on the steps of the White House.

The festivities continued well with three inaugural balls: the Liberty Ball, the Commander-in-Chief Ball, and the Starlight Ball.

But it was the Commander-in-Chief Ball that truly stole the show.

Trump, known for his love of showmanship, danced to the Village People's iconic anthem 'YMCA' for a second time at the Commander-in-Chief Ball, this time holding a sword.

Supporters cheered as Trump waved the sword to the beat of the music, while his wife Melania joined in the dance alongside him.
