The beloved UFC champ Dricus du Plessis is back home!
Many South Africans were waiting in anticipation at OR Tambo International Airport on Thursday, 25 January, for MMA star Dricus du Plessis' arrival.
Du Plessis returned to South Africa following his victory over Sean Strickland in their UFC Middleweight Championship battle.

He arrived at OR Tambo International Airport at 07:45.
It was expected that many spectators would be there to celebrate his arrival, but one fan stood out from the crowd.
Du Plessis was given a hero's welcome by a group of supporters, including Keenan Bender, who got a tattoo of Du Plessis after his victory.
"We have believed in him since the EFC days. My and I have always 100% believed that he is gonna be a world champion, and here he is as the champion," said Bender.

During his meeting with Bender, the UFC star from Pretoria signed the super fan's tattoo.
