Just when you think you've seen it all, something new comes along to keep you on your toes.

In a video posted on X, user @CapeTown_Bru shared a bizarre experience, calling it "the WILDEST VIDEO of 2025 so far."

"A South African nearly being robbed by another South African… in Germany," he wrote.

The footage shows a man walking down a street in Germany, wearing headphones, when another man approaches him and tries to solicit his headphones.

"Come, I take your headphones, man. Come on, just let me wear your headphones quickly," the stranger insists.

Sensing the man's true intentions, the man immediately refuses. In his distinct Cape Town accent, he firmly responds, "Djy, you djas."

Recognising the accent, the would-be thief asks, "Oh, are you South African?"

Realising they're both from the same country, the victim calls him out, reminding him that they're in a different country.

"Don't come with your k*k gedagtes here," he warns. "We're in a different f*kken country. Don't put us on the eyes."

He ends the video in frustration, asking, "Can we take our people nowhere?"
