Taxis linked to associations Cata and Codeta weren't operating in Cape Town on Thursday morning.
Failure to issue operating licences was on their list of grievances.

A video
involving a taxi in Cape Town has been going viral because of what happened to
its passengers.
In the video, a taxi made a sharp U-turn with its sliding door open, and two people came flying out the side.
The two people stayed on the ground, and all the bystanders looked on, with nobody attempting to help them up.

According to reports, Metro Police spokesperson Superintendent Ruth Solomons confirmed the incident on Thursday.
