Not only did he understand Springbok assistant coach Mzwandile Stick's isiXhosa questions, but he also responded in isiXhosa.
As if South Africa needed more reasons to adore Springbok player Jesse Kriel, he just left us even more impressed in a recent clip that was shared online.
Besides his handsome looks, rugby skills, and impeccable athleticism, he proved that he also has the smarts to back himself.

In the clip, which was shared on SuperSport's official TikTok account, Springboks assistant coach Mzwandile Stick could be seen interviewing the utility back about the team's performance over the past season.
Speaking isiXhosa, Mzwandile asked Jesse how he felt about winning 11 out of 13 games.
Kriel's response left many South Africans in shock as he didn't just understand the fully isiXhosa question, but was also able to respond back in the language.
Responding to the question, Kriel started saying: "Ndicel' i13 out of 13 [I wanted 13 out of 13]."

"We dropped the ball, and we're very disappointed. It's small margins. Next season, we want to push to go even better," he added.
He ended the interview by thanking Stick, saying, "Ngiyabonga Mqeqeshi [thank you, boss]."
