WhatsApp users who miss the privacy policy deadline won’t be able to call or text
WhatsApp users who miss the 15 May deadline will be frozen out.
In January 2021, WhatsApp reassured users around the privacy policies at the Facebook-owned messaging service as people flocked to rivals Telegram and Signal following a tweak to its terms.
However, this time around WhatsApp is using another approach after giving users enough time to review the process.
What will happen on the effective date?

The WhatsApp FAQ states that they have extended the effective date to 15 May 2021 to give users enough time to review changes at their own pace and convenience.
“If you haven’t accepted by then, WhatsApp will not delete your account. However, you won't have full functionality of WhatsApp until you accept the terms. For a short time, you'll be able to receive calls and notifications, but won't be able to read or send messages from the app.”
